Greetings Fellow Lions,

As you know, this month we start meeting only twice a month. Our
first meeting will be conducted as a Board/Business meeting. The
second meeting will be used for speakers/social meetings.
We are still looking for a permanent location.
We have a few things on the burner this month and are looking
forward to much better attendance.  Our attendance has been
spotty at best and we need to address this issue.
Hope to see you all at our meetings.

Sept.9th:   This will be our first meeting of the month and the
first of our new schedule.  It will be held at Jimmy's Quick Lunch
starting at 6 pm.  This is the regular Board of Directors meeting
and a business meeting.  All Lions including all officers are urged
to attend.


Sept. 12th:  This is our time to shine !!!  WE will be ma in the
annual Funfest parade and we will be lending our services as
helium balloon handlers.  Rumor has it that our balloon is a tiger,
closest thing we could get to a lion.  All members who are
participating must report at McKenna's Corners in West Hazleton
at noon. Other members should be on hand through the parade
route to critique them on the prowess.  Of course as your
President I will be leading the way!!!!

Sept. 23rd"  This will be our speaker and social meeting.
We will be meeting at Perkins Family Restaurant
on Rte 93.
We will be ordering from the menu
So please make every effort to attend.
